Configured correctly, but subscription not working 2 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi. First of all, thanks for writing these extensions! I'm excited to be able to tie Joomla with PHPList.

I have read the instructions carefully and configured both the component and module as they should be, based on the PHPList backend. Yet, although the Joomla module is returning a success message, the new subscription never shows up in PHPList. I've tried several variations just to experiment but nothing works.

I'm running Joomla 1.0.12 with SEF active if that matters.

PHPList 2.10.5
PHP version 4.4.7

Hi Perroloco,

Please make sure your phplist is using the same db user as your Joomla installation.

That's a limitation we have in this first version!

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue - what do you mean by the 'same db user as joomla'? Does this mean the phplist config file should be pointing to the joomla db? What about all the users in my phplist db?

ok I get it now, the user names have to match on the two databases, the problem is that my site is hosted on godaddy and they don't allow you to use the same user name. Let me know if this requirement is changed on future updates.

Ok, I'm sorry if this is redundant but I'm still having trouble with this issue. I have merged the PHPlist db into the db that joomla is on so that both programs can use the same user id, and updated the config file in phplist with the new db name and info.

I'm still getting "success" on the module, but it's not adding to the phplist db. I made sure that the list ID is correct, and I created a new attribute and verified that the id for that was correct in joomla as well.

I am also getting two "success" emails exactly the same that are generated when I try and test this.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm really glad that you've written these, and I can't wait to get everything working on my site.
