do these work with virtual hosting 2 Years, 9 Months ago

I've tried everything I can think of and even posted to the forums, but haven't gotten any response. I've tried relative paths for the install as well as absolute paths, but I still am unable to get the module or registration to add anything to the phplist db.
I do have the user names the same, and I've tested phplist to make sure that everything still works after adjusting the db user name.
SO....my question is, does this actualy work with a virtual host? that's the only thing I can think of at this point that might be causing problems.
This is probably my last attempt to get these extentions to work, if I can't get any help from this post I'm going to have to go on to some other mailing list feature.
Please if anyone has any other ideas, I would appreciate the help!
Thank you in advance.

I am having the same problem.
I am running my Joomla installations on a VPS with CentOs 4.6 / PHP 5.1.6 / Mysql 5.0.27 on Apache 2.0.59
I am runing the latest version of PHPlist and have been using it for 3 years without a problem.
When I configure the module and component, and I try to enter a name and e-mail I see the rotating logo for half a second and then it disappears. The module is then empty, and there is no user subscribed or user added to the list.
My PHPlist installation is in another vhost directory than my Joomla installations and I use the absolute path. To be sure I chmod the directory /lists/ to 777.
My database user for Joomla and PHPlist is thesame.
Any help would be greatly appriciated!
Best regards,
Benny

Hi,
Please follow the installation guide. Please make sure the tables for your phplist and Joomla are in the database. With the same database user.
Thanks,
IJ

Hi,
Thank you for the quick reply. Do you mean I have to import the phplist database into the joomla database?
The problem is that I use only 1 phplist installation for several mailingslists.
